Try this omlette with an Indian twist, for breakfast. It's a delicious way to start your day.
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsps butter
- 1 large onion chopped very fine
- 1 large tomato chopped very fine
- 1 green chilli chopped very fine
- 1/4 tsp ginger paste
- 1/4 tsp garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder (optional)
- 4 eggs
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
- Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed pan and add the onion. Fry till soft.
- Add the tomato and fry till soft. Add the green chilli, ginger, garlic pastes and red chilli powder (if using) and fry for a minute.
- Whisk the eggs well in a separate bowl and add to the onion-tomato mixture. Season with salt, mix well and spread to form a thick layer in the pan.
- Cover, simmer and cook till the egg is set.
- Cut into pizza-like wedges and serve hot with parathas (pan-fried Indian flatbread).
