Chatpata Channa Raita (chickpeas in hot-sour yoghurt)

Not only is this a great side dish for any meal, Chatpata Channa Raita is also a terrifc on-a-diet dish! Eat a large bowl of it and you'll be filled up, in your stomach and your mind!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 1 cup boiled chickpeas (boil with salt to taste)
  • 1 large green bell pepper/capsicum diced fine
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lightly roasted cumin seeds ground coarsely
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste

PREPARATION:

  • In a salad bowl, whisk the yogurt well to remove any lumps.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients, taste and add salt if needed. Mix well.
  • Chill for an hour and serve.
