Beef Dishes

Though usually not eaten by Hindus for religious reasons, beef is still popular in India with recipes ranging from roasts to pickles.
Kheema Bharvaan Tamatar - Stuffed Tomatoes with Spicy Minced Meat
There is also a purely vegetarian version of this dish if you so prefer. Both are equally delicious!
Granny's Masala Parcha Curry
This is one of my favorite dishes. I get my Grandmother to cook it for me every time I see her! She uses tender pieces of veal to prepare it and was gracious enough to share her recipe with me.
Kerala Beef Fry
This delicious dish is a favorite in the South-Indian state of Kerala. It is served not just as a snack when friends visit, but also as a main course dish with Dosas, Idlis or Appams.
Kheema Ki Khichdi
Wholesome and delicious are the two words to best describe this very easy-to-make dish. It combines the goodness of red meat, lentils, rice and vegetables all into one dish. Talk about convenient!
Beef Sukka
This dish from coastal, western India combines elements and ingredients of both the Malabari and Goan styles of cooking.
Bihari Kabab
Enjoy this grilled North-Indian kabab with piping hot Naans (tandoor-cooked Indian flatbread).
Masala Kheema (spicy minced meat)
Kheema or mince can be made with any meat you prefer. It is extremely versatile and just changing the masala can result in a great new taste each time. Masala Kheema tastes delicious with Chapatis (Indian flatbread) or Parathas (pan fried Indian flatbread).
Kofta Curry (meatball curry)
The koftas (meatballs) in this dish can be made with beef, lamb or chicken. It makes a great meal when served with jeera rice and kachumbar salad.
Anglo-Indian Beef Stew
Anglo-Indian stew can be made with any meat and is a combination of both western and Indian flavors. This hearty, healthy one-pot meal can be eaten by itself or teamed with plani boiled rice. Beef stew is best made in a pressure cooker.
