You've probably heard me speak often of how my husband and I are foodies. We've had the great good fortune of traveling a lot and have sampled various cuisines from around the world. Needless to say we have numerous favorites!
Imagine our surprise when we realized our kids were not "Mini Me's" and had their own distinct food personalities! Who would've known?! It is with much pleading that our five-year-old will even try anything new! I am happy to announce however, that our eight-year-old is slowly beginning to sample some of our favorites, look surprised and say "Mumma this is good!"
My husband can't go more than three days in a row without Indian food, so I cook it very often. When the kids were babies, I cooked them separate meals but have now begun to insist they eat what we eat. I do however, often make foods - from my list of Kid-friendly Indian Recipes - they like to eat so I can curry favor with them for when I want them to try something new :-)
I often dream of the day they will be adventurous with their food choices. Oh the joy!
