Everyone loves the feeling of being treated like royalty and being made to feel like somebody went to great lengths to do something for them. I know my family is full of praise and thank-yous when I labour over a meal for them. I get lots of "You're the best Mumma in the WHOLE world!" (with an emphasis on 'whole'), and "You're an amazing cook Love!" and returns for seconds, thirds and even fourths. My younger son once even came up and kissed my hands after a meal I cooked at his request. I love it and lap it up!
