Eureka!

Thursday June 12, 2008
Khoya (semi-solid thickened milk) or Mawa might be time consuming but when its done and added to any dish, it gives a richness of flavor unlike any other ingredient. The problem however is that very few of us actually have the time it takes to make Khoya the traditional way.

The matter of how to make Khoya/ Mawa easily and quickly has therefore been on my mind for a while. If only I had seen that the solution was right under my nose!! I often make my Quick and Easy Microwave Milk Barfi for friends and family. It involves reducing milk by heating it till all that is left is the milk solids... in other words, Khoya!

So, enough of my Eureka moments! Here is my Easy Khoya/ Mawa Recipe. It gets even better... I even have an Easy Khoya/ Mawa Recipe Version 2!
