Momo-licious!

Friday February 1, 2008
MomosOk, it's trivia time. What's not a meal but fills you up like one? It's yummy and perfect cold weather food too! Answer? A batch of Steamed Momos!

They're actually appetizers but serve them with a piping hot bowl of Thukpa (clear noodle soup) and some fiery Sikkimese Tomato Achaar and they become more than that. Steamed Momos (pictured at right) are a result of the Tibetan influence on India's eastern state of Sikkim. They're traditionally stuffed with minced pork, but you can use any meat you like.

Steamed Momos with Thukpa and Sikkimese Tomato Achaar is a great way to warm up on a chilly winter's evening.
